Aamras Recipe

Aamras is the name given to the tropical fruit mango juice along with pulp which is being extracted through hand and flavored with several ingredients to adjust its taste. This recipe is famous in Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarat, but nowadays famous all over the India, it can even be served with curd or icecream to enhance its taste. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Aamras Recipe

  • 5 Pieces Ripened mangoes
  • 3 tbsp Jaggery
  • 1 tbsp Cardamom Powder
  • 3 tbsp Water
  1. Soak mangoes in water for 5 hours.
  2. Squeeze out the pulps.
  3. Add 3 tbsp of water in the container containing the cover and seeds of mango and take out remaining juices in the container.
  4. Now with the help of hand blender blend the pulps to make it smooth.
  5. Add jaggery and cardamom powder in the pulp.
  6. Blend it once again.
  7. It is ready to be preserved, serve it with chapatis.
  8. Mix it in curd and serve it.
  9. Serve it with ice cream.
