Bitter Gourd (Karela) Bhujiya Recipe

Karela which is also known as Bitter gourd, Bitter Squash or Balsam Pear, is Very commonly found and healthy vegetable, and also its health benefits are innumerable, Let’s learn a quick recipe i.e. Karela Bhujiya.

Karela (Bitter Gourd) Bhujiya

  • 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Powder
  • 1 Piece Chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Sliced Karela (Bitter Gourd)
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  1. Take a cup of washed and chopped Karela (Bitter Squash).

  2. Take a cup of roughly chopped onion.

  3. Take one tbsp Salt and one tbsp turmeric.

  4. Add oil in a cooking pot and saute chopped Onion followed by salt and turmeric, when it turns golden brown add chopped karela (Bitter Squash) as shown in the image.

  5. When its rawness sheds your dish is ready to be served with chapatis or rice and lentils.
