Ghee Rice (With Precooked Rice) Recipe

Ghee rice is very famous recipe of South India, traditionally this recipe is prepared by cooking raw rice in a pan after adding aromatic ingredients like star anise, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, dry fruits etc. This recipe is very aromatic and delicious, here I’ve added a twist to this recipe by using precooked rice. Let’s learn how to prepare this recipe.

Ghee Fried Rice Recipe

  • 1 Cup Boiled Rice
  • 2 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Funnel Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Resins
  • 2 tbsp Cashewnuts
  • 2 Piece Cloves
  • 1 small Bay leaf
  • 2 Piece Slit Green Chili
  • 1 Medium Chopped Onion
  • 1 Piece Star Anise
  • 1 piece Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 piece Green Cardamom
  • 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Ginger
  1. Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, funnel seeds, Star Anise, Bay leaf and roast it.

  3. Add rest of the ingredients and sear it.
  4. Add precooked rice and mix it well.
  5. Serve it with any curry recipe.
