Lauki (Bottle Gourd) Kofta Recipe

Lauki (Bottle Gourd) is very common recipe in every Indian kitchen, it has lots of health benefits. Lauki kofta is something which is very aromatic and flavorful, So those who don’t like Lauki (Bottle Gourd) they can cook this recipe because the test is lurking behind this recipe.

Lauki (Bottle Gourd) Kofta

  • 1 cup Desiccated Lauki (Bottle Gourd)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Sliced Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Green chili
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 tbsp Curry Powder
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt (As per the test)
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 cup Gram Flour ( Besan)
  • 2 tbsp Rice Flour
  1. Take the desiccated Lauki (Bottle Gourd) and segregate the water through the help of thin cotton cloth.
  2. Blend Green chili, onion and tomatoes.
  3. Take a container and add rice flour, gram flour and all the spices, Desiccated Lauki (Bottle Gourd), Chopped green chili and Chopped onion.
  4. Heat a pan with vegetable oil and deep fry the Kofta as shown in the image.
  5. Remove it on kitchen towel.
  6. For gravy add 2 tbsp of oil in cooking pot and add cumin seeds and blended ingredients followed by all the spices as shown in the image.
  7. Cook it for few minutes and add water.
  8. Add the fried Kofta and switch off the flame, the recipe is ready to be served along with rice or chapatis.
