Mixed Dal with Palak Recipe

Mix lentils with spinach is very healthy and nutritious recipe, here I have used black lentils, kidney bean and split gram lentils. Let’s learn how to prepare this recipe.

Mixed Dal with Palak Recipe

  • 1 cup Mixture of lentils like kidney beans, black gram and split gram lentils
  • 1 Piece Bay leaf
  • 1 Piece Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Onion
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp Chopped Spinach Leaves
  • 2 tbsp Ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Dried Red Chili
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Lentils Spice
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Mirch
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Funnel Seeds
  • 1 cube Un-salted Butter
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp kasoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves)
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Corriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 Piece Cardamom
  1. Boil the lentils with 5 whistles.
  2. Take 3 tbsp of boiled lentils and grind them.
  3. Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon stick, cardamom and bay leaf.
  5. Add Ginger garlic paste in the pan and cook it unless its aroma starts to emerge.
  6. Add cumin seeds and dried red chili in the pan.
  7. Add chopped onion in the pan and let it turn transparent.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes in the pan and let it sear.
  9. Add chopped spinach in the pan.
  10. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder and lentils spices.
  11. Add funnel seeds in the pan.
  12. Add boiled lentils in the pan.
  13. Add 2 tbsp of grind lentils in the pan.
  14. Mix it well and add salt in it, simmer it and cover it with lid.
  15. Add kasoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves) in the pan.
  16. Add chopped coriander leaves in it.
  17. Add a cube of butter and serve it hot with steamed rice.
