Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Kofta Chilli Recipe

I was thinking to add a recipe under my experimental cooking, hence decided to cum up with an idea of adding a twist to paneer kofta and thus combined chilli gravy into it and final conclusion was paneer kofta chilli. So let’s learn step by step process to prepare this sumptuous glee.

Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Kofta Chilli Recipe

  • 1 cup Boiled and crumbled Paneer
  • 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt (Half for kneading dough and half for gravy)
  • 3 tbsp Bell Pepper (Capsicum)
  • 1 tbsp Onion
  • 1 tbsp Each choppped Ginger and garlic
  • 1 tbsp Solution of Cornflour and water
  • 1 tbsp Cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp Resins
  • 1 tbsp Each Soy sauce, Tomato Sauce and Chili Sauce
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  1. Take boiled cottage cheese and crumble them as shown in the image.
  2. In the same cottage cheese add cornflour, all purpose flour, black pepper powder and salt.
  3. Knead them properly and prepare boll shapes.
  4. Add cashew-nuts and resins inside the bolls and fold them.
  5. In the same way add feeling and fold them and form the desired shapes.
  6. In a pan heat oil and shallow fry them.
  7. Flap them and let them turn golden brown from both the sides.
  8. When they turn golden brown from both the sides then remove them on kitchen towel.
  9. In the same pan add chopped ginger and garlic and roast them.
  10. Add capsicum and onion and sear them for sometime.
  11. Add soy sauce, green chili sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar and salt stir fry them for some time.
  12. Add the solution of cornflour and water and prepare the gravy if required then add more water.
  13. Put the koftas in the gravy and add few leaves of coriander.
  14. Cover them with gravy and let them stay in the pan by switching off the flame.
  15. Recipe is ready to be served.
