Instructions
  1. Take soaked yellow gram lentils and soak it for one hour, cut and peel the ridge gourd.
  2. Take the chopped ingredients as shown in the image.
  3. Add cumin seeds in a pressure cooker and let it splutter.
  4. Add asafoetida in the cooker.
  5. Add clarified butter into the cooker.
  6. Add chopped ginger, green chili and garlic in the cooker.
  7. Add chopped onion and let it turn translucent.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes and let it become soft, just stir fry them.
  9. Add soaked and strained yellow gram lentils into the cooker.
  10. Add kashmiri red chili powder in the cooker.
  11. Add salt as per your taste.
  12. Add turmeric powder in the cooker.
  13. Add garam masala powder into it.
  14. Finally add kashoori methi (dried fenugreek powder) & kitchen king masala powder and mix it well.
  15. Add ridge gourd into it.
  16. Cook it by stirring it for some time and add half a cup of water into it.
  17. Add half of the chopped coriander leaves and put rest of them aside just for garnishing.
  18. Cook it with four whistle and after that add some more coriander leaves.
  19. Serve it with chapatis or boiled rice.
