Tikri is a prashad (offering to the God) recipe, but it can be served as snacks. Basically it is a variation to the thekua recipe, only difference is it is flattened. Let’s learn how to prepare this delicious recipe. Tikri Recipe 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour 1/2 cup Grated Jaggery 1 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee) 1 tsp Cardamom Powder 1 tbsp Grated coconut 5 Piece Cashew nuts 2 cup Refined oil (For frying) Take whole wheat flour and add clarified butter, cardamom powder grated coconuts and mix it well. It should be mixed with hand so that clarified butter can be dissolved into the flour properly. Add 3 tbsp of water in the bowl of jaggery and mix it well, add the same mixture into the mixing bowl of wheat flour and prepare a dough. Dough consistency should be the same as shown in the image. Divide dough into small bolls and with the help of rolling pin and rolling board flatten them to prepare the shapes as shown in the image. Fry them on medium to low flame. Serve them decorating with cashew nuts.
