Rasmalai Recipe
Rasmalai is a traditional sweet dish of India, originated from Indian subcontinents, nowadays a very famous recipe worldwide. Those who avoid oil can try this recipe as there is no usage of oil in its preparation, the name rasmalai has been derived from Hindi word Ras meaning Juice and Malai meaning Cream. Let’s learn how to prepare this recipe.
Rasmalai Recipe
- 1 cup Chopped Dry Fruits
- 2 liters Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Cardamom Powder
- 1 tbsp Kewra water
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Saffron
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Mukund Dana
- Take a container and boil 1 liter of milk and after it cools down add vinegar or lemon juice to convert it into cream cheese.
- At the same time take another container and heat milk. Continue to boil the milk until it becomes thick (dense). You can also add cardamom powder for flavor.
- Add kewra water and saffron in the thickened milk.
- Add turmeric powder and some more saffron strips along with sugar.
- Add chopped cashew nuts and almond in the thickened milk and switch off the flame the ras for rasmalai is ready.
- Take another pan and make sugar syrup by adding a cup of sugar and 2 cups of water.
- Add mukund dana and keshar strips in the sugar syrup.
- Take the cream cheese and mash it for 5 to 10 minutes to make it soft as shown in the image.
- Form the shapes as shown in the image.
- Put it inside the sugar syrup.
- Put the lid on and cook it for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Switch off the flame and remove it from sugar syrup.
- Serve it after drizzling thickened milk, for better taste serve it after refrigeration.
