Tulip Festival Skagit Valley | Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

Today I am going to share my experience of the most divine valley of Washington, I use to see the pictures of people standing near the flowers, and I muse sometimes… maybe someday I will also be there to click some pictures on the lap of mother nature, I am very penchant towards exploring divine nature, and when I really got this opportunity then two hours fled away… just in seconds… without even realizing that how much time we spent there.  The bundle of colourful flowers shows the existence of paradise on the earth. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is located about 60 miles north of Seattle and 70 miles south of Vancouver, British Colombia, adjacent to Interstate 5.

When we relocated to Seattle Washington from Hyderabad (India), it was the month of November, very cold and sad, sad because I missed my own little sister’s wedding… Lots of blessings to her and may God bring and sprinkles happiness to you, my sweet little sister, I can not explain how much I love you… My love for you is always and forever, it is a long narration so I am not going to mention all those stories, my sister was sad but due to technology I was able to attend her wedding, as it was a day of November 28th, 2022 but yeah deep inside my heart still, I miss… I always think I should have done something just to turn back the time, It was all the situation that did this, neither my destiny nor my own will. So not commemorating all those, let’s merge in the divine fairy tale of our journey.

So after the arrival of spring, my husband jotted down all the points to visit list, the places we should visit, as in Hyderabad we missed Ramoji Film City and many more places, so we decided not to repeat the same mistake again. Generally, tulip festivals start from the 1st of April to the 30th of April but we managed to go there in the month of May, but due to God’s grace we still found the flowers, It was Sunday morning, and all of a sudden we decided to pack and start our journey. I also packed some food items for munching and two bottles of juices and water. But one thing I wanted to say, is that keep a halt in between when you are planning to go to the Skagit valley, as it is very far and you should at least take a halt for washrooms and some snacks. Festival officials suggest visitors stop in town to take advantage of public restrooms before going to the tulip areas because “it can take a fair amount of time to journey from the I-5 exits to the tulip area” on busy days. There are public restrooms at all visitor information centers and the transit station in downtown Mount Vernon. According to the festival website, “the Shop at Burlington is an easy stop with a chance to use the restrooms, stretch your legs (perhaps shop a bit) and then journey on to the tulip area.”

While tickets are not required to enjoy festival events in town or to drive around looking at the colorful fields, tickets are required if you plan on visiting the unique tulip gardens. Garden owners set admission pricing and hours.

RoozenGaarde

RoozenGaarde is open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. during the week, and 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on weekends during the spring bloom. Visitors are allowed entry into the garden until 7 p.m., and guests can stay until sunset. Parking lot gates close and are locked 5 minutes after sunset. Tickets are $15 for ages 3 and up, and admission is free for ages 2 and below. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.

Tulip Town

Tulip Town is open daily from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for ages 12 and up, $7 for ages 6-11 and kids under 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.

Garden Rosalyn is open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. from April 1-30. Tickets are $12, and admission is free for kids ages 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Click here for more information.

So we reached there after a long drive together and there we got an entrance ticket, only drones are not allowed rest of the vlogging equipment like cameras, tripods, and vlogging equipment can be easily taken inside the premise. Snacks were also allowed, Pets are not allowed at Tulip Town or RoozenGaarde, Garden Rosalyn allows leashed dogs, and Free parking is also available.

It was almost two hours we spent there clicking the pictures and taking the videos, people over there were also very nice they were helping us to take pictures together. I was mesmerized by the beauty of nature and prayed to mother nature to heal myself and my life, my family, and the world, I always pray like this to the mother nature … not that I am ill it is just my habit to talk to mother nature and offer my homage. I am still unable to forget the beauty of paradise which I witnessed while being at the place which is unforgettable. I am thankful to my husband who stands by my side and cheers me up whenever I need it. May God’s grace remains upon him as always, and may every day becomes very fruitful and beautiful like a tulip festival.

In addition to the fields of tulips, there are three gardens guests can walk around and explore. RoozenGaarde is a world-renown garden with over one million flowering spring bulbs. The flower garden features a 30-acre tulip field, a 20-acre daffodil field, and a full-sized Dutch windmill. The display garden is hand-planted and redesigned each year with more than 200 flower varieties on display. RoozenGaarde is located at 15867 Beaver Marsh Rd in Mount Vernon.

For nearly 40 years, Tulip Town has been a blossoming boutique tulip farm. The farm planted five acres of colorful tulips but has about an acre of outside flowers to show for their work due to regional flooding during the planting season last fall. Though the field may look a bit different this year, visitors can explore 10,000-square-feet of indoor garden space “brimming with goods and gifts from area artisans” and “thousands of potted tulips for purchase.” Tulip Town is located at 15002 Bradshaw Rd in Mount Vernon.

Garden Rosalyn is the newest addition to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. The garden is a 13-acre complex with six acres of tulips “planted in fun designs, including stars, animals, and manicured beds.” Garden Rosalyn is the only garden of the three that allows leashed, well-behaved dogs. Garden Rosalyn is located at 16648 Jungquist Rd in Mount Vernon. RoozenGaarde is open year-round, while Tulip Town and Garden Rosalyn are only open during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.
