Paneer bhurji Recipe
Whenever I feel loath and I want to cook something very quickly, this recipe is my first choice. Paneer Bhurji is a popular and delicious North Indian breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner recipe made from crumbled paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese). This Paneer Bhurji Recipe is basic Style and the way it is made in my home. Bhurji means scrambled so this dish is basically scrambled paneer or cottage cheese. A perfectly savory, tangy, spiced mixture made of onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste(optional ), green chilies (hot peppers), and various spices is then used to mix with the scrambled paneer. I am using milk to make scrambled cottage cheese and for tanginess, I am using chat masala powder it’s totally optional. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare the recipe.
Paneer Bhurji Recipe
- 1 Litre Milk
- 2 tbsp White Vinegar
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Mustard oil or clarified butter (Use oil as per the choice )
- ½ tsp Salt (As per the taste )
- ½ tsp Chat masala powder (Optional )
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
- ½ tsp Sanji masala powder
- ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- ¼ Cup Chopped onion
- 2 tbsp Chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Chopped capsicum
- ½ tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
- ½ tsp Chopped green chilli
Heat milk, when it reaches the boiling stage switch off the flame, add 2 tbsp of white vinegar, and stir it unless it curdled.
Strain it and keep it aside,
In a wok heat ½ tbsp of mustard oil, use clarified butter for better taste, add cumin seeds, let it splutter, then add chopped onion, when onion turns translucent add the rest of the veggies.
Add, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, sabji masala powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, mix and fry cover and cook for few minutes. then add paneer.
Mix and fry for few minutes, then add chopped coriander leaves and chat masala powder and the recipe is ready to be served.
Serve it hot with either rice or lentils or chapatis or any flatbreads.
