Bitter gourd Recipe | Karele ki bhujiya recipe
Today, I will be sharing a very common recipe for karela, known as karele ki bhujiya. This recipe is a simple stir-fry dish that can be served with rice, lentils, or chapatis. If you want to reduce its bitterness, soak the bitter gourd slices in salty lukewarm water before cooking. You can also add mango powder while cooking to eliminate the bitterness. Adding a generous amount of onions will also help diminish the bitterness.

Bitter gourd Recipe | Karele ki bhujiya recipe
- ½ tsp Oil (Any oil of your choice )
- ½ Cup Sliced bitter gourd
- ¼ Cup Chopped onion
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
In a pan add ½ tsp of oil and heat it.
Add salt washed bitter gourd slices in the pan and cook it.
Add turmeric powder and mix everything together.
Add salt to taste and mix it well.
Add chopped onion and let it caramelize.
Cover and cook it for 5 to 10 minutes.
Serve it hot with rice lentils or chapati.
