Aloo Kulcha Recipe
Aloo kulcha is a flat bread recipe of northern part of India, it is stuffed with spiced potatoes, it can be served with any gravy or non gravy veggies. Let’s learn how to prepare aloo kulcha.
Aloo Kulcha Recipe
- 1/2 cup Each all purpose flour and wheat flour
- 1 tbsp Kalonji or Mangrail, Black Caraway, Nigella,
- 1 tbsp kastoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves)
- 3 Pieces Boiled Potatoes
- 1 tbsp Curry Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves
- Sieve the flour and add baking powder, salt, curd and vegetable oil and form a dough with the help of water as shown in the image.
- Cover it with damp cotton clothe and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Take boiled potatoes and add all the spices, salt and coriander leaves.
- Mash it and form a dough as shown in the image.
- Form the shapes as shown in the image.
- After 20 minutes take the damp clothe off from the dough and prepare the balls as shown in the image.
- With the help of rolling pin and rolling board prepare the flatbread and put potato and spices mix boll above it as shown in the image.
- cover it and prepare the oval shape, apply kalaunji and kastoori methi above kulcha.
- On the back side of it apply water and stick it in pan as shown in the image.
- When kulcha start to bulge then turn it directly above the flame and sear it.
- Apply butter and remove it from the flame.
- Serve it with your favorite vegetable.
Oh yum, for the fact that potatoes are filling inside, this kulcha is my kind of food.
