Arbi (Taro Root) Mustard Seeds Curry Recipe

Taro root which is known as arbi in hindi, is very nutritious and easy to digest, It contains vitamin A, B, C and E. Apart from its healing properties, it is loaded with phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper etc. Let’s lean how to cook arbi so that its delicacy can be maintained.

Arbi (Taro Root) Mustard Seeds Curry Recipe

  • 1 cup Striped out and sliced taro roots
  • 1 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Piece Medium Tomato
  • 6 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tbsp Choped Green Chili
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Powder
  1. Take the peeled off and sliced taro roots, wash it and put it aside.
  2. Take a pressure cooker, add fenugreek seeds and let it tamper.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, mustard seeds, ginger, garlic, green chili’s and take a whirl around.
  4. In the same pressure cooker add mustard oil and grind spices, let it cook for some more time unless its rawness gets removed, add mustard powder, salt and finally taro roots keep stirring and cooking it.
  5. Add half cup of water, on low flame pressure cook it for 10 minutes, serve it garnishing it with coriander leaves.
