Chana Chaat | Black chickpea & chickpea salad
This is the weight loss recipe which consists of chickpea, black chickpea, peanuts, avocado, tomatoes, finely chopped onions, green chillies, jalapeno, black & green olives, and seasonings to relish the delight. This easy salad makes a great snack, breakfast, dinner or lunch! This recipe is also oil-free, sugar-free, vegan and gluten-free. Why do we call it a chaat? actually chaat is basically a savory snack, served as snacks from stalls or food carts in India. Chaat is usually crunchy, spicy, tangy all at the same time. There is usually a base, spices, chutneys and garnishes added to a chaat. So this recipe which I am going to prepare is full of so many delights so we can call it a chaat, or simply a salad. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
Chana Chaat | Black chickpea & chickpea salad
For boiling
- ¼ Cup Chickpea
- ¼ Cup Black chickpea
- 1 tbsp Peanuts
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- 3 Cup Water
For Salad Preparation
- ¼ Cup Boiled Chickpea
- ¼ Cup Boiled black chickpea
- 1 tbsp Boiled peanuts
- ½ tbsp Chopped tomato
- ½ tbsp Chopped onion
- ½ tbsp Chopped capsicum (Optional )
- ½ tsp Chopped chilli
- 1 tsp Salt (As per the taste )
- 1 tsp Lemon juice (Optional )
- 2 tbsp Avocado blend
- 1 tsp Pizza & pasta sauce
- ½ tbsp Jalapeno
- ½ tbsp Each black & green olives
- 1 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves (Optional )
- ½ tbsp Chopped mint leaves
Soak both the chickpeas overnight.
Boil them along with 1 tbsp of peanuts , salt and turmeric powder.
Strain and transfer them into a bowl, add all the chopped ingredients, sauces and the seasonings, mix them well.
Place the toppings and garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it.
