Old Dried Chili Pickle
Usually when we keep green chilies in refrigerator for long, then they turns yellowish or orangish in color, sometimes it get smashed and becomes ugly and hence thrown out. But better not to throw them just wash them and pat dry for delicious pickle recipe. Let’s learn the steps to prepare this recipe.
Old Dried Chili Pickle
- 1 cup Chopped chilies
- 1 tbsp Amchoor Powder
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp Ajwain (Celery seeds)
- 1 tsp Kalonji or Mangrail, Black Caraway, Nigella,
- 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
- 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard Seeds
- 4 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Asafoetida
- 1 tsp Black Salt
- Take chilies wash them and cut them into small pieces.
- Add oil in a pan and splutter crushed fenugreek and yellow mustard seeds and asafoetida, then add chopped green chilies.
- Add salt and amchoor powder over the chilies.
- Add turmeric powder and green chili powder in the pan.
- Dry roast ajwain, mangrail, cumin seeds and funnel seeds.
- Grind all the dry roasted spices.
- It should be coarsely grind as shown in the image.
- Mix the grind spices with chilies.
- Add vinegar and mix them well.
- Pickle is ready.
- But exposing them under sunlight will make them more tasty and durable.
