Palak Dal (Spinach Lentil) Recipe
Palak dal is very nutritious due to the virtue of both the ingredients, as spinach along with lentils makes this recipe a super food and super delicious. It is generally considered as side dish, and eaten along with boiled rice and chapatis. Let’s learn steps to prepare palak dal recipe.
Palak Dal (Spinach Lentil) Recipe
- 1 cup lentils ( Masoor dal and Toor dal) (Soaked in water for 30 minutes)
- 1 cup Spinach
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Ginger Garlic
- 1 tbsp Chopped Green chili
- 2 cup Chopped Onion
- 1 cup Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- Take soaked lentils and drain its water.
- In a pressure cooker add one and half cup of water, lentils, salt and turmeric powder, let it cook till 5 whistles.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, let it tamper.
- Make all the ingredients ready as shown in the image.
- In the pan add garlic, ginger, green chili, onion and let it turn golden brown.
- Add chopped tomato and sear it.
- Add chopped spinach into the same pan and sear it.
- Add turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder and mix it well.
- When spinach becomes soft add cooked lentils into the same pan.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it.
