Potato And Drumstick (Aloo-Sahjan Ki Sabji) Curry Recipe

Potato and drumstick curry is very easy to prepare and can be served with rice or any flatbread. It is basically prepared in the mustard paste gravy and if tender drumsticks are available then it is more preferable. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Potato And Drumstick (Aloo-Sahjan Ki Sabji) Curry Recipe

  • 1 cup Chopped drumstick
  • 2 tbsp Peeled potatoes cut into half inches
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 2 Pieces Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri mirch powder
  • 1 tsp Sabji masala powder
  • 3 Pieces Garlic buds
  • 2 pieces Green Chili
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  1. Take water in a container, add apple cider vinegar and add pieces of drumstick and potatoes.
  2. In a grinding jar add tomatoes, yellow mustard seeds, garlic and green chili.
  3. Grind them and add 2 tbsp of water and take a whirl around to form a smooth paste.
  4. Heat oil in the pan and add pieces of drum stick and potatoes.
  5. When it turns golden brown then remove it from the pan.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, let it splutter.
  7. Add grind ingredients in the pan.
  8. Keep stirring unless spices getting separated from the oil.
  9. Add fried potatoes and drum sticks in the pan.
  10. Add all the spices in the pan.
  11. Mixed it well.
  12. Add water in the pan and cook it covering it.
  13. Sprinkle some coriander leaves and garam masala powder, switch off the flame.
  14. Recipe is ready to be served.
