Potato Chips Recipe (Traditional Way)
During childhood days we use to witness these potato chips basking under the sun. This technique preserve the potato chips for long time, one can serve it whenever required just after frying or baking, I’ve added a secret ingredient to this recipe so that it can not turn black after sun basking.
Potato Chips Recipe (Traditional Way)
- 4 Pieces Potatoes
- 2 cup Coconut oil
- 1 tbsp Black Salt
- 1 tbsp Dry roasted Cumin and carom seeds Powder
- 1 tsp Aam choor powder
- 1 Pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 tbsp Chola masala powder
- Take pilled off potatoes and submerge them in a container filled with water.
- Slice the potatoes using the slicer, and put them in a container having water add salt and baking soda and let it rest overnight. Note: This technique will never discolor the potato slices after preservation.
- Next day remove the water and put it on the strainer.
- Boil water in a container along with salt.
- Add chips slices in the container.
- After few minutes switch off the flame and spread them to a plastic sheet.
- When chips gets dried up completely, then preserve it for further use.
- Serve it by frying them whenever it required. Sprinkle the spice mix.
