Spinach Dosa Recipe
I though to add green color in dosa but stilted food color doesn’t appease me, I thought to boil spinach for its bright color in my dosa recipe and turned it viridescent spinach dosa. Let’s learn how to prepare this sumptuous dosa recipe.
Spinach Dosa Recipe
For outer covering
- 1 cup Dosa batter
- 2 tbsp Boiled and grind Spinach
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Oil (For preparing dosa)
For filling
- 1 tbsp Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Peas
- 1 tbsp Chopped Carrot
- 1 tbsp Chopped beans
- 2 Pieces Boiled Potatoes
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Chicken masala powder/Sabji masala powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Leaves
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Whole Dried Red Chili
- 1 tbsp Peanuts
- Roast peanuts in a pan.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds along with dried red chili.
- Add chopped vegetables in the same pan and saute them unless they turns soft.
- Add all the spices and salt in the same pan and mix them well.
- Add boiled potatoes and roasted peanuts in the same pan.
- Mix them well so that aroma of the spices can be imbibed properly.
- Filling for dosa is ready.
- Add salt in dosa batter and mix it well, at the same time boil some spinach leaves. (Note: I’ve used boiled spinach as texture of boiled spinach is always pleasant).
- Add grind spinach in the batter and mix them well.
- Your batter is ready for preparation.
- Grease oil in a pan and prepare dosa as shown in the image.
- Cove the lid if you want to prepare it quickly.
- Add the fillings and wrap it.
- Serve it hot with your favorite chutney.
