Tricolour Paneer Tikka
This recipe is very special as it carries the colours of our national flag, I have prepared this tikka recipe just to pay homage to our Indian flag, One can try this delight on the eve of Independence day, Republic day or any national event, this recipe is healthy as it carries only natural colours as I am little sceptical about food colours. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
Tricolour Paneer Tikka
- 200 g Paneer, cottage cheese
- 3 tbsp Ginger and garlic paste
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 2 Cups Fresh curd
- 3 tsp Rock salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper powder
- 4 Pieces Diced onion
- 1 Piece Green chilli
- 1/4 Cup Coriander leaves
- 1 Medium size Lemon
- 4 Pieces Diced capsicum
- 2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Tandoori masala powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 4 Pieces Diced red capsicum
For White coloured Tikka
In a bowl add three tbsp of curd
Add 1 tsp of ginger and garlic paste into it.
Add 1 tsp of salt and black pepper powder into it.
Using whisker, whisk it into a smooth paste.
Add diced onion into it.
Add diced cottage cheese.
Quote it with the curd paste and put it aside for marination for about 30 minutes.
For the Green coloured tikka
In a grinding jar add green chilli, coriander leaves and garlic cloves and grind them.
In a bowl add 3 tbsp of curd, transfer the grind ingredients into it.
Add ginger and garlic paste into it.
Add salt as per your taste and whisk all the ingredients together to form a smooth paste.
Add capsicum into it.
Add diced paneer into it.
Quote it with the paste and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Grill the marinade
After thirty minutes add lemon juice in all the marination.
One can grill it using a griddle, or simply a griller, I am using a griller to prepare this, but here one can do it either inserting the ingredients into the skewers or in another way first grill them then put it on the skewers.
I am preferring the second option as on the burner it is easy to use skewers first but on the electronic griller, we need to grill them first.
As it is nicely done from both the sides then transfer them onto the skewer.
Similarly, do the same with white marinade.
For saffron marinade also we will follow the same process.
Our tricoloured tikka is ready to be served.
