This stotram is the conversation between Lord Krishna and his devotee and friend Arjun, he asked to Lord Krishna about the names one should chant instead of sahastra names( meaning thousands of names), in order to get the complete fruit out of it.

इति श्रीकृष्णार्जुनसंवादे विष्णोरष्टाविंशतिनामस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम ।

Arjuna asked: Which of these thousand names, should be chanted o Lord Krishna again and again, as most of the people often chant your thousands of names which is very fruitful, but instead of that would you tell me the names which are as pious as thoese thousands of names, and the fruit for the names should be similar to those of thousands of names, so that salvation can be attained just by this.

Lord Krishna Replied:  The names of the chant is given in the starting of the article, Lord Krishna replied: he who has lotus on his belly, he who has thousand of eyes, he who wears garland of forest flowers, he who has plough as weapon, he who looks after cows, he who controls five senses, he who lives in वैकुंठ (the abode of Lord Krishna), he who is the greatest among beings.  he who has world as his form, he who is son of Vasudeva, Rama, Narayana, Hari, he who is tied by a rope on his belly, he who carries Mahalakshmi, he who is Vedas, he who has a Eagle flag. He who is limitless, Krisha, he who looks after cows, Would make the one who chants these sinless. That man who reads this on full moon, new moon and Ekadasi, Would get the effect of giving away billions of cows, Performing Aswamedha yajna one hundred times. And Kanya daan fruit thousand times. He who read this daily at dusk, dawn and noon, Would get rid of all sins committed by him.

Read this daily and get the benediction of lord.
