Aloo Kachalu (Aloo Dahi) Raita Recipe

When I heard bout aloo kachalu recipe I was in dilemma! What is this all about? My bhabhi (Brother’s wife) prepared this recipe for the first time while my visit to Haridwar (India). I wanted to try this recipe as this is the best side dish. Commemorating the olden days I prepared this recipe. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare Aloo kachalu recipe.

Aloo Kachalu (Aloo Dahi) Raita Recipe

  • 3 Pieces Boiled Potatoes
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri mirch powder
  • 1 tsp Chat masala and Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Chopped Green chili
  1. Take 3 medium to small sized potatoes and cut them into small pieces, add chopped coriander leaves and chopped green chilies.
  2. Add curd in the same bowl and mix them well.
  3. Add a tsp of sugar and salt in the same container and mix them well.
  4. Add chat masala and cumin powder in the same container.
  5. Add black salt and black pepper in the container along with roasted cumin powder.
  6. Finally add kashmiri mirch powder in the container and give a mix.
  7. Garnish it with coriander leaves and the recipe is ready to be served.
