Besan cheela Recipe | Quick & healthy snacks | Non-Fried Indian snacks
Besan Chilla or cheela is an Indian style savoury pancake made using gram flour. I made it in various ways, just by changing the ingredients and adding some colourful veggies, make it more eye-catchy, I basically add rice flour to make it crispy and delightful. For making it more fluffy and supple I just added eno fruit salt. It is very healthy recipe can be opted for breakfast, lunch or dinner, one can even serve this recipe as snacks. I have made it more healthy by skipping any oil, just a pure clarified butter to make it more delightful and amazing. It is also called as vegetarian omelette and is a great dish to serve for breakfast or keep for tiffin box. Here is how to make it.
Besan ka cheela
- ½ Cup Gram flour
- 2 tbsp Rice flour
- 1 tbsp Chopped tomato
- 1 tbsp Chopped capsicum
- 1 tbsp Chopped onion
- 1 tbsp Chopped carrot
- 1 tsp Chopped green chilli
- 1 tsp Each green & black olives
- ½ tsp Chopped jalapeno
- 1 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
- ½ tsp Ginger & garlic paste
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Salt (As per the taste )
- ½ tbsp Kitchen king masala powder
- ½ tsp Eno (Fruit salt )
In a bowl add gram flour , rice flour and rest of the ingredient.
Add water to form a batter.
Add eno to make it fluffy and soft like an omelette.
Mix them well.
Grease the griddle and with the help of a laddle prepare the cheel.
Cover and cook it for some time.
Flip it over and cook again for a few minutes.
The recipe is ready to be served.
