Besan Sev Namkeen | बेसन की सेव नमकीन🥨🥨
Sev is like thin, crunchy noodles made from gram flour. The batter-like dough is made from gram flour and is seasoned with salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and all the Indian spices as per the taste and choice. Then pressed into the sev maker mould to form thin noddles. These noodles are directly formed into the hot oil and deep-fried till crisp. It is usually made during Diwali, Holi, Dussehra etc. (Indian festivals) to add in different mixture recipes. This can be used in many chaat recipes as well. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
Besan Sev Namkeen | बेसन की सेव नमकीन🥨🥨
- 1 Cup Gram flour
- 2 tbsp Cooking oil
- 2/3 Cup Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 Pinch Asafoetida
- 1 Cup Mustard oil (For frying )
In a container add 1 cup of gram flour.
In another container add 2 tbsp of oil.
Add 2/3 cup of water into it.
Whip it to make it smooth.
When it turns creamy, then it is ready for the preparation.
Add the water and oil solution little by little in the gram flour and mix it.
Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and asafoetida into it.
Prepare the dough as shown here.
Use thin mould and grease them.
Place the dough in the mould.
Form the shapes directly in the hot oil.
Deep fry it.
Serve it hot.
