Chuda Fry Recipe
Chuda fry is very common tea time snack of Bihar and Jharkhand (India) during evening almost everyone enjoy this typical recipe, it takes very little time to prepare this recipe and also there are several variations of this recipe which I’ll try to share later. Even there is myth that those who wants to get rescued from the wrath of Sanidev must eat chuda fry on Saturday, let’s learn how to prepare this recipe.
Chuda Fry Recipe
- 1 cup Chuda (Flattened Rice)
- 4 tbsp Mustard Oil (Clarified butter (Ghee))
- 2 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 2 Pieces Green chilis
- 1 cup Makhana (Lotus Seeds)
- 3 tbsp Peanuts
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Kashmiri lal mirch powder
- Add oil in a wok and let it get heated up.
- Add peanuts in the wok, fry them so that they can turn golden brown. Put it aside.
- In the same wok fry lotus seeds and let them turn crunchy. When they are done remove it from the oil and put it aside.
- In the same wok add green chilies.
- Add roughly chopped onion in the wok and fry them unless they turns translucent.
- Add flattened rice in the pan.
- Stir fry them so that flattened rice can turn crunchy.
- Add fried peanuts and lotus seeds.
- Stir fry them together.
- Add turmeric and kashmiri lal mirch powder.
- Add salt and mix it well.
- Chuda fry is ready to be served.
