Dhaniya Panjiri Prasad Recipe

This is the most classic recipe for the festival Janmashtmi, It is being served basically on this festival, I decided to prepare this with demerara sugar although cristal sugar is being used in the classic recipe. Lets learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Dhaniya Panjiri Prasad Recipe

  • 2 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp Clarified butter
  • 1 tbsp Each almond, cashew nuts etc
  • 2 Piece Crushed cardamom
  • 2 tsp Demerara sugar
  • 1 tsp Saffron threads
  • 1 Piece Holy basil (For garnishing )
  1. Heat a pan and add coriander seeds into it and dry roast them.



  2. When aroma starts emitting then add 1 tsp of clarified butter.



  3. Add dry fruits and mix them well.



  4. Add few chopped dry fruits in a bowl.



  5. Transfer the roasted ingredients in a grinding jar when they cool down.



  6. Add demerara sugar.



  7. Grind them into a fine powder.



  8. Transfer them into a bowl of dry fruits.



  9. Garnish it with holy basil and serve it to Lord Krishna.
