This cheela or chilla recipe is very healthy and a combination of several grams, beans peas etc which is making it a very healthy, it can be opted either for breakfast, evening snacks or dinner. For the Batter
- ¼ Cup Chickpea
- ¼ Cup Brown Chickpea
- ¼ Cup Kidney beans
- ¼ Cup Yellow peas
- ¼ Cup Peanuts
- ¼ Cup Lobia
- ¼ Cup Moot beans
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Salt (As per the taste )
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
Spice Mix
- 1 Piece Green chilli
- 6 Piece Garlic pods
- ½ Inch Ginger (Optional )
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- ½ tsp Coriander seeds (Optional )
- ¼ tsp Black pepper corn (Optional )
For Topping
- 1 tbsp Chopped tomato
- 1 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Chopped onion
- ¼ tsp Chopped green chilli
For greasing
- 1 tbsp Clarified butter
In a bowl add all the beans, chickpeas & nuts and soak them overnight.
Next day strain then and grind to form a smooth paste.
Add salt, turmeric powder, and the spice mix and prepare a batter for cheela.
Prepare cheela after greasing the pan with clarified butter, flip it over, then again cook it for some time, then top it with tomatoes, green coriander leaves, chillies and onions.
Serve it hot with chutney or any dips of your choice.
