Pitra Dosha, Curse & Remedies

Pitra Dosh– In contrast to the misconception of it being the curse from forefathers, Pitra Dosh is actually a karmic debt of the ancestors. It is reflected in the Kundli in a form of malefic planetary combinations and is to be paid by the person having Pitra dosha in his Kundli. To put it simply, Pitra dosh is formed in a person’s horoscope, when his/her ancestors have committed some sin or mistake. So, in exchange for that, the native is held accountable to pay for the wrongdoings of their forefather’s past deeds by going through various punishments. Presence of Pitra Dosha in one’s horoscope may bring about some inevitable and unexpected hardships in the native’s life. It causes severe ups and downs in one’s lifespan. The native tends to suffer from a lack of mental decisiveness and money.

Can pitra dosh remove by changing religion?

    • No there is only one religion that is sanatan dharm, if you will change your religion then also the dosh will never gets discarded, although it will become more difficult for you to eradicate the dosh

So just to confirm this pooja has to be done in varanasi(kashi) ?
Also from what I understand it really isn’t possible to remove the defect from the birth chart as it is coded with you at the time of your birth but what I need to know is to what extent does the pooja help with pitra dosh?Does it completely eradicate the malfic impact on the native or does it just dilute the effects ?

  10. thank you for the good article.
is it possible that only one son among the siblings is affected by the pitru dosh.
how can the son whose father is alive can perform shrad

    • Thank you for your appreciation, we take birth here on this earth or other earth or planets, again and again, but we don’t know our past lives, unless we practice meditation or have the 6th sense. so it is not that if one sibling is suffering from pitri dosh, then the other should also suffer from the same dosh, they both have incarnated in the same home due to some karm bandhan, and it is not necessary that those whose fathers are alive should do this shradh and tarpan, but during the month of shrad, Amavasya should be chosen for salvation from such dosh, at least water the pipal tree and may ask for the blessings from the God and may also ask for the removal of all the dosha. I wish God may help you. Also talk to some jyotishi the knowledgeable brahman and do upay for this dosh.

Kudos to the author for shedding light on this important aspect of Vedic astrology and guiding readers toward finding harmony and balance.
