Before moving to the southern part of India, I was unaware about several variations of this recipe, I still remember the day I first got to know about Nalla Karam (Podi, the powder used on idli), My husband is in the south since a long time so he is well aware of several recipes of southern parts of India, at my hometown I used to have idli on the special occasions, but here in the south it is very common, I am glad to know about the instant version of this recipe when I was travelling to Tirupati Balaji, then I first tasted this version of Idli and I was drooling so finally decided to try it at home, and yeah it came out amazing, I have made this before in the normal way but today I am making it with roasted semolina so I don’t need to roast it with spices,  but instantly roasting it will give a different taste to the recipe. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
