Rice Vada Recipe
Whenever we cook extra rice, we need to find the idea to reuse them, sometimes we prepare fryums or fried rice, but have you thought of preparing vada! the recipe which I’m sharing today will change your perception towards leftover or extra cooked rice, as this recipe can be served as evening snack or as breakfast. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
Rice Vada Recipe
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/2 cup Semolina (Sooji)
- 1 tsp Black Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Mustard Oil
- 1 tbsp Curry Leaves
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coconut
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coconut
- 1 Cup Coconut oil
- Heat a pan and add cumin seeds and black mustard seeds let them splutter.
- Add mustard oil in the pan.
- Add curry leaves in the pan.
- Add ginger and garlic paste along with coconut pieces and stir fry them.
- Add semolina in the pan and stir fry them.
- Add salt in the pan and mix them together.
- Add water in the pan and mix them.
- Add rice in the pan.
- Mix them well and the dough for vada is ready.
- Prepare the shapes as shown in the image.
- Heat oil in the pan.
- Put the vada in the pan and fry them.
- When it turns golden brown then remove it from oil and serve it.
