Split Gobi (Cauliflower) Curry Musallam Style Recipe
Under my experimental cooking I tried preparing a recipe which is very famous in North Indian dishes. Musallam is a mughal word meaning whole but here I have used split cauliflower. Let’s prepare split gobi curry in musallam style.
Split Gobi Musallam Recipe
- 1 cup Boiled split cauliflower
- 1/2 cup Curd
- 1/2 cup Cashew Nut Paste
- 1 cup Tomato Puree
- 1 tsp Paste of ginger and garlic
- 2 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Green Chili
- 1 tbsp Fresh Cream
- 1 Piece Cinnamon Stick
- 2 Piece Bay leaves
- 1 tsp Funnel Seeds
- 1 piece Dried Red Chili
- 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 2 tbsp Chopped Capsicum (Bell Pepper)
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Kashmiri Mirch
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp kasoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves)
- Take boiled cauliflower and in a strainer let it rest so that extra water can be removed.
- Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.
- Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, cinnamon stick and funnel seeds.
- Add ginger and garlic paste in the pan.
- Add chopped onion and dried red chili in the pan.
- Let the onion turn translucent.
- Add chopped capsicum in the pan.
- Add tomato puree in the pan.
- Mixed it and cook it for sometime.
- Add the paste of cashew nut in the pan.
- Mix it well and cook for sometime.
- Add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala powder and coriander powder.
- Mix it well unless oil separates from the spices.
- Add curd in the pan and mix it well.
- Add salt and mix it well.
- Add boiled cauliflower in the pan and mix it well.
- Add water and mix it well.
- Add kasoori methi in the pan and cook it covering the lid of the pan.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
- Sprinkle fresh cream and serve it with any curry recipe.
