Two kinds of chutney for Fasting days | Vrat wali chutney
Fasting days are like a penance, so the food we choose during those days is very healthy, nutritious, and light. During fasting, we need to follow a healthy schedule and even our body targets healing, meditation as a part of fasting makes our body energetic. So we choose nongrain food for fasting days. It is said that fasting increases our Sky tatwa. Our body consists of pancha tatva – prithvi, aakash , vayu , agni and jal (earth , sky , air, fire and water ). The rest of the tattvas are being provided via several physical things but sky tatva can only be grabbed via fasting.
Today I am going to share two different kinds of dips that can be used while fasting. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare them.

Coconut fasting chutney
- ½ Cup Coconut chunks
- ½ tsp Chopped ginger
- 1 tsp Green chilli
- ½ Cup Chopped coriander leaves
- ½ tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Chaat masala powder
- ½ tsp Roasted Cumin powder
- ⅓ Cup Curd
- ½ tsp Rock salt
- ½ Cup Water (Add water as per the consistency you want )
Gooseberry fasting chutney
- 9 Piece Gooseberry (Boiled )
- ½ Inch Ginger
- ½ Cup Chopped coriander leaves
- ½ tsp Roasted cumin powder
- ½ tsp Crushed black pepper powder
- ½ tsp Rock salt
- ½ Cup Water (As per the consistency )
Coconut fasting chutney
In a grinding jar add coconut chunks, ginger & green chill.
Add coriander leaves, black pepper powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala powder, rock salt, curd, and water. Take a whirl around and form a smooth paste.
Gooseberry fasting chutney
Take boiled gooseberry, deseed each of them.
Add it into a grinding jar, add chopped coriander leaves, ginger, roasted cumin powder, crushed black peppercorn, and rock salt, add water as per your choice, and take a whirl around.
Chutney is ready.
