Vegetable Daliya | दलिया बनाने की विधि, सब चाटते रह जाएंगे उंगलियां🥣🥣

Daliya or Dalia Broken wheat has been the part of Indian cuisine since the ages, it is basically the broken wheat which is very nutritious, its fiber content assists in weight loss, it can be prepared in several ways, and hence its relevance in our diet can boost the immunity by keeping illness at the bay. Its benefit are innumerable but majorly it is effective for weight loss, relives constipation, good for diabetic patients, maintains cholesterol levels, Prevents breast cancer, it is best food for growing children’s, easy to digest and many more. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare Daliya Khichdi/Pulao.

Vegetable Daliya | दलिया बनाने की विधि, सब चाटते रह जाएंगे उंगलियां🥣🥣

  • 1/4 Cup Daliya (Broken wheat)
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Bottle gourd
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Pumpkin
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Clarified butter
  • 1 Pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp Chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp Chopped Green chilies
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Lettuce
  • 1 tbsp Sprouts
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Beans
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Capsicum
  • 1 tbsp Chopped carrot
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves (For garnishing )
  • 1 tbsp Salt (As per the taste )
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable masala powder
  • 1& 1/2 cup Water
  1. Take chopped bottle gourd and chopped pumpkin as shown in the image.



  2. Take all the veggies as shown in the image.



  3. Heat a cooker and add 1 tsp of cumin seeds .



  4. Add asafoetida into it.



  5. Add chopped tomatoes into it.



  6. Add all the chopped ingredients along with sprouts.



  7. Add dry spices like, turmeric powder, kashmiri red chili powder, coriander powder, salt and sabji masala powder.



  8. Mix them well so that all the spices get dissolved with vegetables.



  9. Add dry roasted daliya (Broken wheat).



  10. Mix them well then add one and half cup of water & pressure cook it with 3 whistles.



  11. After 3 whistles it will look like this.



  12. Serve it by garnishing it with coriander leaves.
