Vermicelli Upma (Poha) Recipe
Vermicelli upma is very common breakfast recipe, one can enjoy this recipe even as tea-time snack, I have used nuts and vegetables to cook this recipe. Any colorful vegetables that are available in your repository can be used in cooking this recipe. Let’s learn step by step process to cook this recipe.
Vermicelli Upma (Poha) Recipe
- 1 cup Vermicelli
- 1 tsp Curry Leaves
- 1 tbsp Chopped Green chili
- 1 tbsp Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Onion
- 1 tbsp Boiled Peas
- 1 tsp Finely Chopped Garlic
- 1 tbsp Cashewnuts
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- Take vermicelli and dry roast it as shown in the image.
- Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.
- When it turns golden brown and roasted aroma stars emitting then turn off the flame and put it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute curry leaves followed by chopped onions.
- When onion starts to turn golden brown then add rest of the chopped ingredients.
- Seat them for some time then add roasted vermicelli in the same pan.
- Mix it well and add turmeric powder and salt in the same pan.
- Add half a cup of water so that all the ingredients can get submerged in it and let it cook for some time.
- Serve it hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
