Vrat Wale Namkeen Recipe
On the eve of Navratri I thought to prepare namkeen, as it is very easy to prepare and one can carry it anywhere. I’ve used large sized sago seeds, peanuts, lotus seeds etc, let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Vrat Wale Namkeen Recipe
- 1 cup Large sized sago seeds
- 1 cup Peanuts
- 2 tbsp Makhana (Lotus Seeds)
- 1 tbsp Sendha namak (Rock salt) (Optional)
- 1 cup Finely shredded potato
- 2 cup Clarified butter (Ghee)
- 1 tbsp Curry Leaves
- Heat clarified butter in a pan and fry sago seeds as shown in the image.
- Add peanuts and lotus seeds and fry them.
- Fry potatoes unless they turns crispy.
- Fry curry leaves and in a container add all the ingredients along with rock salt. Toss them and namkeen is ready, you can preserve it in an airtight container, it remains fresh for 15 to 20 days.
