Whole Wheat Naan Recipe (Using Griddle)

Naan is a flatbread which is prepared in tandoor, but here I’ve used griddle (Tava) and hence one can prepare this recipe at home quickly. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Whole Wheat Naan Recipe

  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 4 tbsp Curd
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Ajwain (Celery seeds)
  • 1 tsp Kalonji or Mangrail, Black Caraway, Nigella,
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp kasoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves)
  1. In a mixing bowl add whole wheat flour, salt, curd and prepare dough and cover it with damp cloth and let it rest for an hour.
  2. After and hour, take a part of flour and prepare the flatbread and sprinkle some ajwain, mangrail seeds and kasoori methi.
  3. On the other side of flatbread apply water and stick it on the griddle, after a minute turn it over the flame as shown in the image.
  4. Serve it with any curry recipe.
