How To Grow Long Mung Bean Sprouts At Home

We often come across the trouble in finding fresh long mung beans sprouts in the markets, sometimes store brought bean sprouts are not so fresh, as they are being packaged and sold out from far away, hence they are even sumptuous to buy it every day and we have time-bound limit to use them, this is a routine recipe which we consume in the form of salads, soups, stir-fry, etc.

It is very simple to grow them at home, follow the steps I have applied and get that long mung bean sprouts at home just half the cost we pay for the market brought bean sprouts. Let’s learn the steps by step process.

 

How To Grow Long Mung Bean Sprouts At Home

  • 1 Cup Mung (Moong beans)
  1. Take a container and transfer the mung beans into it.



  2. Wash with water and then put 3 cups of water and soak it for 6 to 7 hours.



  3. After 6 to 7 hours it will look like this.



  4. Now wash and strain them.



  5. Take a net basket or net pot and spread kitchen tissue over it, then transfer the mung beans.



  6. Cover it with black plastic sheet or black cloth, put the lid on and keep it aside.



  7. In the interval of every 3 to 4 hours keep washing them with fresh water and keep repeating the process.



  8. On second day it will get a normal sprouts as shown.



  9. Again repeat the process of washing till seventh day. On seventh day it will look like this, and it will expand into double of its quantity.



  10. Let me show u the close view of these sprouts.



  11. Now preserve them in an airtight container and use them in soups or salads.
