Dates and Carrot Halwa | खजूर गाजर हलवा | ठंड में ज़रूर बनाए
Carrot is the goldmine of nutrients, its colours rages from orange, black, pink to red, yellow and white. I have tried this recipe with orange coloured carrot, which is available in the market these days, I am fond of using red coloured carrot in the halwa recipe but this is also fine as it seems amazing due to its texture. I have added dates just to add sweetness hence used only 2 tbsp of sugar into it, but one can discard sugar and instead add more dates and even paste of dates can work well in this recipe. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
Dates and Carrot Halwa | खजूर गाजर हलवा | ठंड में ज़रूर बनाए
- 8 Pieces Orange carrots
- 250 gm Dates
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 and 1/4 liter Milk
- 1 tbsp Clarified butter
- 1 Pinch Cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp Milk solids
In a wok add 1 tbsp of clarified butter.
When it heats up add grated carrots.
cover the lid and cook it for some times.
Add 2 cups of milk and cook it by coving the lid.
Add cardamom powder.
Add 2 cups of sugar and mix it well.
Add deseed dates into the wok, stir fry and cover the lid.
Add dry fruits of your choice.
Add milk solids cover the lid and cook it for some times.
Mix it well and the recipe is ready to be served.
