Beetroot Stirfry
Beet Root Stir Fry is an authentic stir fry recipe from South Indian thali (platter). I got to know about this dish after having a thali dish in Hyderabad. This side dish is a staple at southern home it is a tasty healthy colourful bowl of that crunchy goodness. Grate or chop and stir fry them give this wonderful bowl. Beet stir fry with all the south Indian combination of food is amazing, with lemon and curd rice is my favourite. Reason being its colour and the taste. Beet root stir-fry
- 1 cup Diced beetroot
- ½ tsp White lentils
- 1 tbsp Soaked gram lentils
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tbsp Cumin powder
- 4 Pieces Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Grated coconut (Optional )
- ½ tbsp Mustard oil or coconut oil (Choice is yours )
In a wok add diced beetroot with 1 cup of water.
After water gets evaporated, switch off the flame.
In a wok add ½ tsp of white lentils, 1 tbsp of soaked gram lentils, curry leaves and 1 tbsp of mustard oil let them splutter.
Add beetroot, salt and coriander powder mix them well, cook it for few minutes.
Serve it with few slices of tomatos and paneer.
