Eggplant (Bharta) Chokha Recipe
Eggplant bharta is very delicious and can be served as side dish with khichdi, rice, flatbread etc. It is very quick recipe with earthy smell which lingers into it due to direct flame roasting. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this delicious delight.
Eggplant (Bharta) Chokha Recipe
- 1 Piece Big sized Brinjal (Eggplant)
- 1 tbsp Chopped Green chili
- 2 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 2 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 5 Cloves Garlic
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
- Take eggplant wash it and apply little mustard oil over it ( applying oil outside is optional)
- Take eggplant and cut them slightly to check it is fine from inside. then poke the garlic cloves everywhere as shown in the image.
- Roast it directly on the flame and keep turning it so as to roast if from everywhere.
- Remove the outer cover as shown in the image.
- Mash it and add chopped ginger, chopped coriander, green chili and remove cover from roasted cloves and either mash it or cut them to add directly into it.
- Add salt and a tsp of mustard oil, mix it well and the recipe is ready to be served.
