Masaledar Aloo Parwal Curry Recipe |Spicy Potato & Pointed Gourd Curry
This traditional dish of Indian subcontinent got an amazing applause due to its delicacy. Under my experimental cooking I am adding yet another twist to the recipe to make it more delicious and hence I have chosen different way of cooking which will make it more amazing, let’s learn how to cook this delicious curry.
Masaledar Aloo Parwal Curry Recipe
- 8 Pieces Pointed gourd
- 2 Pieces Boiled Potatoes
- 1 cup Chopped Onion
- 1 cup Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tsp Chopped Ginger
- 1 tsp Chopped Garlic
- 2 Piece Green chilies
- 2 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Kashmiri lal mirch powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Kitchen king powder or any vegetable powder
- 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Piece Bay leaf
- 1 tbsp Maggie Masala Magic
- Take pointed gourd and scratch it little with the help of knife, remember we don’t have to peel it off.

- Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.

- Add all the ingredients in a grinding jar and take a whirl around.

- Take coriander leaves, coriander powder, red chili powder,turmeric powder and kitchen king powder.

- Heat 1 tbsp of mustard oil in the pan.

- Fry the pointed gourd from both the sides.

- When it turns golden brown then remove it from the pan.

- Heat 1 tbsp of mustard oil in the pan and cumin seeds.

- Add bay leaf and grind ingredients.

- When spices starts emitting aroma then add turmeric powder.

- Add rest of the spices as shown in the image, also add Maggi masala magic powder.

- Add boiled potatoes after breaking it with hand.

- Add fried pointed gourd.

- Add water and prepare a curry, and add salt.

- Sprinkle coriander leaves into it.

- Cover the lid and cook it for few minutes.

- Recipe is ready to be served.
