Aloo Parwal (Potato-Pointed Gourd) Mixed Curry Recipe
This traditional dish of Indian subcontinent got an amazing applause due to its delicacy. Under my experimental cooking I am adding yet another twist to the recipe to make it more delicious, let’s learn how to cook this delicious curry.
Aloo Prwal (Potato- Pointed Gourd) Mixed Curry Recipe
- 1 cup Diagonally chopped pointed gourd
- 1 Piece Diced potatoes
- 1 tbsp Green chili paste
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 cup Tomato Paste
- 1 cup Onion paste
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Degi Mirch / Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Mixed vegetable powder
- 1 tbsp Salt (As per your taste)
- 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Piece Dried Red Chili
- 1 tsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)
- Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.

- Mix water in the bowl of spices and make a paste.

- Cut the pointed gourd as shown in the image.

- Mix a tsp of turmeric powder and salt in the sliced ingredients.

- Fry them using mustard oil and put them aside.

- In a pan add oil and tamper cumin seeds as shown in the image.

- Add dried red chili in the pan.

- Add ginger and garlic paste in the pan and cook them for sometime.

- Add onion paste in the pan.

- Add green chili paste in the pan.

- Add tomato paste in the same pan.

- Cook them unless their rawness disappears.

- Add the spice mix paste in the pan.

- Add fried potato and pointed gourd.

- Mix them as shown in the image and cook for sometime.

- Add half a cup of water and cook them.

- Add salt in the pan and put the lid on and cook it for 2 minutes.

- Add a tsp of clarified butter for aroma.

- Add coriander leaves and mix them well.

- Serve it with steamed rice.
