Carrot And Spinach Appam Recipe

Carrot and spinach mixed with appam batter is really amazing way to prepare a delicious breakfast. I have used rice and lentils for this batter, let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Carrot And Spinach Appam Recipe

  • 2 cup Batter of soaked rice and lentils
  • 1 cup Boiled and grind spinach
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 1 tsp Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp Chopped carrot
  1. Take the batter and mixed grind spinach along with salt.
  2. Mix them well.
  3. Add chopped carrot in the same pan and mix them well.
  4. Heat appam tray and apply mustard oil.
  5. Sprinkle black mustard seeds in the appam tray.
  6. Add curry leaves in the appam tray.
  7. Put the batter in the appam tray.
  8. Flip it over and cook from other side as well.
  9. Serve it hot with your favorite chutney.
