Diwali snacks | Easy & light Nimki | Crispy Namak para

Nimki or namakpara is a very common snack, which can be served to the guests during diwali festival, it has an appetizing flavour and extremely interesting mouthfeel. Surprisingly this recipe is quick to prepare and requires only a few ingredients. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

  • 2 Cup Refined flour
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Celery seeds
  • ¼ tsp Onion seeds
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper powder (Optional )
  • ¼ tsp Cumin seeds (Optional )
  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter
  • ½ Cup Mustard oil (For frying ( this oil will never cause hurt burn and acidity))
  1. Take refined flour, celery seeds, onion seeds, salt & clarified butter in a mixing bowl.



  2. Mix it to form binding consistency.



  3. Keep adding water and prepare a dough.



  4. Cover it and keep it aside for 20 minutes.



  5. With the help of a rolling pin and rolling board prepare a flatbread, cut them as shown.



  6. Meanwhile, heat mustard oil, remove its bitterness by bringing it on the temperature where fumes starts to emit.



  7. Lower the flame and fry the nimki.



  8. Serve it.
