Fried Chana Masala Recipe

This chana masala recipe is dedicated to Navratra as generally this way of brown gram recipe is being cooked during the festive session. It can be served with Puri and halwa. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Fried Chana Masala Recipe

  • 1 cup Black chick peas (Soaked in water for 12 hours)
  • 1 tsp Black Split Lentils (Urad)
  • 1 tsp Rock Salt (As per your taste)
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Black Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Curry Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri mirch powder
  1. Take overnight soaked black chick peas and boil the adding salt in a pressure cooker. In a pan splutter black mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves along with black split lentils (Urad)
  2. Add one tbsp of mustard oil in the same pan.
  3. Add a tsp of turmeric powder, red chili powder and coriander powder in the same pan.
  4. Roast spices for few minutes.
  5. Add boiled black chick peas in the pan.
  6. Stir-fry them for few minutes.
  7. Serve it hot with any main course recipes.
