Bottle gourd zest bhujiya

Bottle gourd zest can also be used in cooking, I know most of the time while cooking bottle gourd curry we discard its zest but we can reserve them for this bhujiya recipe, it goes well with rice or chapatis. Let’s learn step by step process to cook this recipe.

Bottle gourd zest bhujiya

  • 1 Piece Potato
  • 1 Cup Chopped bottle gourd zest
  • 1 Piece Green chilli
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Apple cider vinegar
  1. Take bottle gourd and with the help of a knife.



  2. Add this into a container.



  3. Add water into the container.



  4. Add 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar into the container and put it aside.



  5. Peel off the potato and cut both the potato and bottle gourd est into small pieces also slit green chillies.



  6. In a pan add 1 tbsp of mustard oil.



  7. Add cumin seeds and slit green chillies in the pan.



  8. Add chopped potato into the pan.



  9. Add chopped bottle gourd zest into the pan.



  10. Stir fry them.



  11. Add turmeric powder and salt into the pan.



  12. Cover the lid and cook it for few minutes.



  13. Switch off the flame and the recipe is ready to be served.
