Kalakand Recipe
Kalakand is a famous sweet dish of Indian subcontinents. It is made from whole milk, cream cheese (chhena) and sweeteners. There are several variations in this recipe the fried variation is known as ajmeri kalakand, even the method and ways of cooking varies from person to person, so here is my technique of preparation. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare kalakand recipe.
Kalakand Recipe
- 1/2 liter Milk (Heat milk in a pan and add vinegar or lemon, segregate cottage cheese and put it aside)
- 1/2 cup Khoya (Dried Whole Milk)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Cardamom Powder
- 1 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)
- Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.
- Heat clarified butter in a pan and roast cream cheese (chhena).
- Add Khoya (Dried Whole Milk) and mix them well.
- Cook them for some time so that it can become soft.
- Add sugar in the pan and mix them well.
- Apply little clarified butter in a container and.
- Put the ingredients in the container and let it set for some time.
- Sprinkle chopped almonds and cut them into desired shapes, kalakand is ready to be served.
