Laccha Makhana (Lotus Seeds) Kheer Recipe
Makhana is considered as non grain and eaten during fast, I thought to add some twist and changed its color with creamy layers in it. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
Laccha Makha (Lotus Seeds) Kheer Recipe
- 1 liter Full cream milk
- 1 cup Makhana (Lotus Seeds)
- 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 1 tbsp Beetroot juice
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Chopped cashew nut
- 1 tbsp Chopped almonds
- 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 1 tsp Rose Water
- Take boiled milk and simmer it on medium to low flame in such a way that layer of cream can form, then start separating the cream on the sides of pan.
- Dry roast lotus seeds and grind it coarsely.
- Add dry fruits and sugar into milk when it turns thick.
- With the help of spoon remove creams from the side walls of pan and mix it with thickened milk.
- Drizzle beetroot juice in the same pan and keep removing the creams.
- Add coarsely grind lotus seeds in the pan.
- Serve it hot or chilled as per your choice.
