Litti Chokha Recipe (Microwave)
Litti chokha is the traditional recipe of Bihar (India), but due to its amazing taste and healthy virtue it is a very famous street food delicacy of Indian subcontinent. I have tried a very simple method using a microwave oven, even chokha I prepared is non fried. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare litti chokha recipe.
Litti Chokha Recipe
For Litti
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/4 cup Roasted Gram Flour (Sattu)
- 1 tbsp Achar ka Masala (Pickle spices)
- 1 tsp Celery Seeds (Ajwain)
- 1 tsp Kalonji or Mangrail, Black Caraway, Nigella,
- 1 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 1 tbsp Chopped Green chili
- 1 tbsp Chopped Garlic
- 1 tsp Salt (As per your taste )
- 3 tbsp Water
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 Cup Clarified Butter (Ghee)
For Chokha
- 4 Medium Size Boiled and pilled-off Potatoes
- 1 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 1 tsp Chopped Green chili
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Mustard Oil
- Take wheat flour and prepare dough in the same consistency as we prepare for flatbread.
- Take roasted gram flour and mix chopped onion, garlic, coriander leaves, achar masala, ajwain, mangrail, salt, green chili and water to prepare a batter of filling.
- Divide dough into small bolls.
- Put the fillings to prepare litti.
- Roll it and prepare the shapes as shown in the image.
- Put inside the microwave oven under convection at 180 degree for 35 minutes.
- Put it inside the clarified butter as shown in the image.
- Litti is ready to be served.
- Take boiled and peeled off potatoes and mash them.
- Add chopped green chili, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, salt and mustard oil.
- Mix it and chokha is ready to be served with litti and enjoy it.
